Waxing pulls hair from the root the way an epilator does, but a full strip lifts a wider patch at once, so a full arm or leg is done in minutes rather than a slow pass-by-pass process. The result lasts three to four weeks for arms and legs, compared to one or two days for shaving, and it improves with repetition the same way an epilator does: regrowth comes back finer and sparser after several consistent sessions.

- You travel often or your schedule genuinely cannot hold a slot every month. An epilator, bought once, used consistently. Expect the first three months to hurt more than waxing does, with the trade-off that after that the pain and the routine are entirely in your own hands.
