Full body waxing is the single strongest argument for home service. Not because the wax is different, but because doing it on a shared salon bench, in a curtained cubicle, with people moving past outside, is uncomfortable in a way nobody should have to accept.
At home it is your own room and your own bathroom, with the door shut. That is most of the value right there.
What "full body" actually covers
Worth confirming, because it varies between providers and nobody enjoys finding out mid appointment.
- Included as standard Full arms including underarms, full legs, stomach and back. That is what the ₹899 honey wax and ₹1,599 Rica rates cover.
- Face is separate Face wax is ₹199, or threading at ₹149 for full face. Facial skin is different enough that it is priced and treated separately.
- Bikini area Available and quoted separately when you book. We recommend Rica here without exception, and the beautician will explain the options before starting.
- Not included Bleach, de tan or a facial. Those are separate services, and combining a full body wax with bleach on the same skin the same day is not something we advise.
The real timing
| Honey wax | Rica wax | |
|---|---|---|
| Full body rate | from ₹899 | from ₹1,599 |
| Appointment time | 75 min | 90 min |
| Best for | Normal skin, routine maintenance | Sensitive skin, ingrowns, event weeks |
| Redness afterwards | One to two hours | Usually brief |
Rica takes longer because it is applied thinner and in smaller sections. That is not inefficiency, it is what makes it gentler. If someone quotes you a 45-minute full body Rica wax, they are working in a way that will hurt.
Making it hurt less: what actually works
Some of the common advice on this is useless. These are the things that make a measurable difference.
- Let hair reach a quarter inchAbout two weeks of growth. Too short and the wax cannot grip, so the same patch gets worked twice. That repeat pass is the main source of soreness people blame on the wax itself.
- Avoid it in the three days before your periodSkin is genuinely more sensitive then. This is the single easiest scheduling change and most people have never been told it.
- Take a paracetamol 30 minutes beforeIf you find it difficult. Ordinary, cheap and reasonably effective.
- No moisturiser or oil that morningWax grips clean dry skin better, which means fewer passes.
- Exfoliate two days before, not the same dayLoosens trapped hair. Same day scrubbing leaves skin already irritated before the wax touches it.
- Say when something hurtsNot stoicism. If one area is bad the beautician can change the angle or switch to Rica for that section.
Aftercare, adjusted for Jaipur
- No sun for 24 hours Freshly waxed skin pigments faster. A scooter ride at 2 PM the same afternoon is how patchy tanning happens on newly waxed arms.
- No gym or swimming for a day Sweat and chlorine on open follicles is the most common route to those small red bumps.
- Loose cotton, not synthetic For the first evening especially. Friction on freshly waxed skin is what turns mild irritation into a rash.
- Start exfoliating on day three Twice a week from then on. This is the single most effective thing against ingrown hair, more than switching wax type.
- Rebook at three to four weeks Regular cycles genuinely thin regrowth over time. Long gaps reset that progress and make each session harder.
Exfoliation from day three does more for ingrown hair than any wax upgrade you can pay for.
The hygiene points to watch
These apply anywhere you book, and you can check them without saying a word.
- The spatula never goes back in the pot Once it has touched your skin it is done. This is the biggest single cause of infection in salon waxing and the easiest thing to spot.
- New strips, not washed ones Reused cloth strips are still in circulation in some places.
- Wax temperature tested on her own wrist Before the first application, and not on you.
- Gloves for the bikini area Non negotiable, and should not need requesting.

Common questions
How much does full body waxing cost at home in Jaipur?
From ₹899 with honey wax and from ₹1,599 with Rica wax. That covers full arms including underarms, full legs, stomach and back. Face wax at ₹199 and the bikini area are quoted separately. There is no visiting charge on bookings above ₹799.
How long does a full body waxing appointment take?
75 minutes with honey wax and 90 minutes with Rica. Rica takes longer because it is applied thinner and in smaller sections, which is exactly what makes it gentler. Allow an extra 15 minutes if it is your first appointment with us.
How can I make waxing hurt less?
Let hair grow to about a quarter inch so the wax grips first time, avoid the three days before your period when skin is more sensitive, skip moisturiser that morning, and exfoliate two days before rather than the same day. A paracetamol 30 minutes ahead helps if you find it difficult.
What should I avoid after full body waxing?
Sun for 24 hours, gym and swimming for a day, and tight synthetic clothing for the first evening. Freshly waxed skin pigments faster, which matters in Jaipur, and sweat on open follicles is what causes the small red bumps people get.
Should I get honey wax or Rica for full body?
Honey wax at ₹899 is fine if your skin recovers within an hour and you get no bumps or ingrowns. Choose Rica at ₹1,599 for sensitive skin, recurring ingrown hair, the bikini area, or any week where you have a fixed event and cannot risk redness.
