Manicure and Pedicure at Home in Jaipur: What ₹699 Buys

Manicure at ₹349, pedicure at ₹449 and the combo at ₹699, done at home across Jaipur. What is actually in the sitting, the hygiene detail that decides everything, and what a pedicure will not fix.

Hands after a manicure during a home appointment in Jaipur

Almost every woman who rides a scooter in this city has the same two tone complaint: the hands are one colour and everything the gloves covered is another. Add open sandals through a Jaipur summer and cracked heels stop being a possibility and become a schedule.

Which is the point people miss about manicure and pedicure here. It is maintenance, in the same category as a haircut, not a wedding week indulgence. This is what the sitting actually contains, what it costs, and where it genuinely cannot help.

What is actually in the sitting

A pedicure that skips steps is still called a pedicure, which is how the same word covers a twenty minute nail tidy and a proper forty five minute treatment. Ours is the second thing, and it is worth knowing what the steps are so you can tell what you are being given anywhere else.

  1. The tub and the soak.Warm water, long enough to genuinely soften the skin. Rushing this is the most common shortcut, because everything after it gets harder and slower when the skin has not softened, and the client cannot tell which step was skipped.
  2. Nail cutting, filing and cuticle work.Cuticles pushed back rather than cut away wherever possible. Cutting is faster and looks neater on the day, and it is also how the skin around the nail ends up ragged three weeks later.
  3. Scrubbing and callus removal. The part that does the visible work. A foot file over softened skin, worked properly across the heel and the ball of the foot rather than only where the cracking shows.
  4. Massage.Ten minutes or so, and the first thing to disappear in a busy salon when the chairs are full. At home there is no next client in the room, so it runs its full length. This is the single clearest difference between the same treatment in the two settings.

The tub, and why it decides everything

A pedicure tub holds warm water and everything that came off the last pair of feet in it. In a salon it is wiped between clients, usually, and that is the whole answer you will get if you ask.

Ours is lined with a fresh disposable liner for every single booking, which means your feet never touch the tub itself. Nail cutters and pushers arrive in a sanitised sealed pouch and are opened in front of you rather than pulled out of a working kit. Both of these cost us a little on every appointment and neither is negotiable.

Ask about the liner specifically, of us and of anyone else. It is a yes or no question with no reasonable middle answer, and how fast it comes back tells you the rest.

What it costs

TreatmentRateTime
Manicure (basic)₹34935 min
Pedicure (basic)₹44945 min
Manicure + Pedicure combo₹69975 min
De tan manicure₹54945 min
De tan pedicure₹64955 min
Crack heel treatment₹49940 min
Nail cut, file and polish₹19920 min
Hand or foot de tan pack₹24920 min
Products and equipment included. The combo at ₹699 saves ₹99 against booking the two separately, and it also clears the ₹799 threshold when paired with almost anything else, which removes the travel charge.

The de tan versions are worth explaining rather than upselling. They add a de tan pack over the standard sitting and they do lift the surface tan on hands and feet, which in this city is usually a hard line at the wrist and another at the ankle. What they do not do is change your actual skin tone, and if that line has built up over three summers it will take more than one sitting to even out.

Cracked heels: the honest version

Deep cracking does not clear in one sitting. It takes two or three, spaced about a fortnight apart, and any business promising otherwise is quoting you for a result it cannot deliver.

What you will notice after the first sitting is that walking stops hurting, which for most people is the actual complaint underneath the cosmetic one. The crack heel treatment at ₹499 uses a foot file with a healing balm and is a different thing from the pedicure, not a slightly better version of it.

The part that decides the outcome is not ours, it is what happens between sittings. A balm at night, closed shoes where you can manage it, and not standing on hot floors barefoot in May. Two sittings with that beats four without it.

A pedicure removes the damage that has already happened. Nothing in the tub stops the next lot arriving.

What it will not fix

  • A thick, discoloured or crumbling nail. That usually points to a fungal infection, and it is common through the monsoon weeks. A pedicure does not clear it and filing over it can spread it. We stop and say so. A chemist or a doctor sorts it in a fortnight and then the pedicure is worth booking.
  • Diabetic feet, without care. We do not do callus removal or aggressive filing on diabetic feet. Reduced sensation means a small cut can go unnoticed and become serious. Tell us when you book, and we will do a gentler version and skip the parts that carry risk.
  • Permanent whitening of hands or feet. De tan lifts surface tan and scrubbing clears dead skin, so the result is genuinely brighter because it is clean. Your underlying tone does not change. Nobody in this city can change it, whatever the board outside says.
  • Gel, extensions and nail art. We do not offer these. Removal in particular needs equipment and ventilation that a home booking cannot do safely, and half done gel removal wrecks the nail underneath for months.

Not sure whether you need the pedicure, the crack heel treatment or a doctor first? Send us a photo on WhatsApp. It takes us thirty seconds to tell you, and telling you to see a doctor costs you nothing.

Common questions

How much is a manicure and pedicure at home in Jaipur?

A basic manicure is ₹349 and a basic pedicure ₹449. The combo is ₹699 for both, which saves ₹99 and takes about 75 minutes. De tan versions are ₹549 and ₹649. Crack heel treatment is ₹499 and a simple nail cut, file and polish is ₹199. All rates include products and equipment, and they are the same across every area of Jaipur.

Is a home pedicure hygienic?

It depends entirely on the tub, which is why it is the thing to ask about. Ours is lined with a fresh disposable liner for every booking, so your feet never touch the tub itself, and the cutters and pushers come in a sanitised sealed pouch opened in front of you. In a salon the same tub serves everyone through the day with a wipe in between. Ask any home service directly whether they use a fresh liner.

Will one pedicure fix my cracked heels?

No, and we will tell you that before you book. Deep cracking takes two or three sittings about a fortnight apart. What you should notice after the first one is that walking stops hurting. What happens between sittings matters more than the sittings do: a balm at night and closed shoes where possible will do more than a fourth appointment.

Do you do gel nails, extensions or nail art at home?

No. Gel and extensions, and removal especially, need equipment and ventilation a home booking cannot provide safely, and badly removed gel damages the nail for months afterwards. We stick to manicure, pedicure, de tan versions and crack heel treatment, and we will say plainly that a salon is the right place for the rest.

Can I book a pedicure if I am diabetic?

Yes, but tell us when you book. We skip callus removal and aggressive filing on diabetic feet, because reduced sensation means a small cut can go unnoticed and turn into something serious. The soak, gentle nail work and massage are all fine. This is one of the few times we will do less than what you have paid for and explain why.
