Almost every question we get about price is really a question about frequency wearing a different hat. A ₹499 facial is cheap if you have one before Diwali and expensive if somebody has convinced you to have one every fortnight, and the rate card cannot tell you which of those you are signing up for.
So this is the other half of the price list: how often each thing is genuinely worth repeating, why, and where the honest answer is less often than a parlour would like to tell you.
Hair removal, where the biology decides for you
This is the one category where the interval is not really a matter of opinion. Body hair grows in cycles, and after waxing there is a stretch where there is simply not enough length for wax to grip. Going too early means a painful session that does not remove much and pulls at skin instead.
- Arms, legs and underarms: every four weeks. Three is too early for most people and five is when it starts to feel overdue. If you wax consistently at four weeks for a year, growth genuinely does come back finer, which is the one compounding benefit in this whole article. Full arms and full legs together is ₹498 with honey wax.
- Full body: every four to six weeks. Most people who book full body settle at six rather than four, partly on cost and partly because the areas that matter most to them are the ones they top up separately in between. ₹899 with honey wax, ₹1,599 with Rica.
- Eyebrow threading: every two to three weeks. Purely about growth, and it varies more between people than anything else here. Going longer than three weeks is fine, the shape just takes an extra minute to re-establish. Going shorter than two is not useful, because there is not enough growth to work a clean line. ₹29.
- Upper lip: every three to four weeks. Slower growth than brows for most people, and there is no benefit in doing it more often. ₹30.
Face: the category where more is usually worse
Facials are where the frequency advice you get is most often shaped by what is profitable rather than by what your skin needs. The useful distinction is between a cleanup and a facial, because they are not smaller and larger versions of one thing.
A cleanup at ₹299 is cleansing, mild exfoliation and extraction. Thirty five minutes, and it is maintenance. A facial adds massage, a pack and active ingredients, runs fifty minutes to over an hour, and is doing something to the skin rather than just cleaning it.
- Cleanup: once a month, and more often in monsoon. This is the right default for most skin in Jaipur, and it is ₹299. If your main complaint is congestion around the nose and chin, this is the treatment, not a facial.
- Facial: once a month at most, once every six weeks for most people. Skin turns over on roughly a four week cycle, so more often than monthly is not giving it time to do anything with the last one. Anyone recommending a facial every fortnight is selling. ₹499 for a fruit facial, ₹699 for gold.
- De tan: every three weeks through summer, then stop. April to July it earns its place, because tan builds faster than it fades in this city. From November it is largely pointless and we say so. ₹299 for the face pack, ₹599 for the de tan facial.
- Bleach: every four weeks at the very most, and honestly, less. This is the one we most often talk people down from. Frequent bleaching on facial skin thins it over time and increases sensitivity, and the effect is cumulative and not reversible. Once every six to eight weeks is plenty, and a patch test happens every time regardless of how many you have had.
- Hydra facial and the ₹1,299 and up tier: three or four times a year. These are event treatments. Before a wedding, before a big function, at the change of season if you want. Monthly at ₹1,899 is nearly ₹23,000 a year for a result that a monthly ₹299 cleanup plus decent daily habits gets you most of the way to.
A monthly cleanup at ₹299 and a facial every six weeks will do more for your skin over a year than any single expensive treatment, and it costs about a third as much.
Hands, feet and the Jaipur variable
Feet are the one category where the honest interval in this city is genuinely shorter than the textbook answer, and it is the dust rather than anything else.
- Pedicure: monthly, or every three weeks through summer. If you are in open sandals daily from April onwards, three weeks is realistic, and it is mostly about dust and tanning rather than the nails. ₹449, or ₹649 for the de tan version. The combo with a manicure is ₹699, which is why almost nobody books them separately.
- Manicure: every four to six weeks. Hands take less abuse than feet in Jaipur, oddly enough, because they are washed constantly and rarely in a sandal. ₹349 alone.
- Crack heel treatment: three sittings ten days apart, then stop. This is a course, not a routine. Deep cracks need two or three sittings about ten days apart at ₹499 each, and after that a normal monthly pedicure holds it. If someone is still selling you crack heel treatments in month four, something is wrong. Nightly foot cream between sittings does more than a fourth appointment would.
The genuinely useful habit here is not a treatment at all. A foot cream at night, every night, changes more about how your heels look in October than any number of pedicures does, and it costs a few hundred rupees a year.
Hair, where the water matters more than the treatment
Jaipur water is hard, and hard water works against hair continuously in a way that no monthly treatment fully offsets. That changes the frequency answer here more than in any other category.
- Hair spa: every three weeks, and this one genuinely earns it. The interval most treatments do not deserve, this one does, because the deep conditioning is working against something the water is doing every single day. ₹649 shoulder length, ₹899 waist length. If you have coloured hair it also slows the brassiness that hard water brings on by week four.
- Haircut: every eight to twelve weeks. Sooner if you have layers, since a layered cut loses its shape faster than a blunt one. ₹299 straight or U cut, ₹399 for layers. Trimming more often does not make hair grow faster, which is a claim that will not die.
- Root touch up: every four to five weeks with grey, six to eight without. ₹699, ammonia free. Grey coverage is the thing driving the interval. If you are colouring for tone rather than covering grey, you can stretch it considerably further.
- Global colour: two or three times a year, no more. ₹1,499 and up, and the limiting factor is your hair rather than your budget. Repeated full-head processing is cumulative damage. Root touch ups between globals are the sensible pattern.
- Keratin or smoothening: twice a year at most. ₹3,499 and up, holding three to four months when the weather cooperates. Do not book it in monsoon: high humidity reverts the result in about six weeks and you have paid full price for half the life.
- Dandruff treatment: a course of three, then reassess. ₹799 a sitting. If three sittings have not changed anything, the answer is a dermatologist and a medicated shampoo, not a fourth sitting. We will say so.
What a year actually costs at these intervals
Putting real numbers on it, because "monthly" sounds harmless until you multiply it by twelve. This is a realistic maintenance year for someone who wants to look consistently well kept rather than transformed.
| Treatment | Interval | Per sitting | Per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full arms + full legs waxing | Every 4 weeks | ₹498 | ₹6,474 |
| Underarms waxing | Every 4 weeks | ₹49 | ₹637 |
| Eyebrow + upper lip threading | Every 3 weeks | ₹59 | ₹1,027 |
| Cleanup | Monthly | ₹299 | ₹3,588 |
| Fruit facial | Every 6 weeks | ₹499 | ₹4,325 |
| Manicure + pedicure combo | Monthly | ₹699 | ₹8,388 |
| Hair spa, shoulder length | Every 3 weeks | ₹649 | ₹11,299 |
| Haircut | Every 10 weeks | ₹299 | ₹1,555 |
Almost nobody books all of that, and nobody should. The point of laying it out is that hair spa at three-weekly is by some distance the most expensive habit on the list, and hardly anyone realises it, because ₹649 does not feel like an expensive booking. If something on this list has to go, look at the interval before you look at the rate.
The three we tell people to do less often
Saying this costs us bookings, which is roughly the reason it is worth saying.
- Bleach. The most over-recommended treatment in the trade. It thins facial skin over time and raises sensitivity, and the effect accumulates. If you are doing it monthly, go to six or eight weeks and use a de tan pack in between instead. Your skin will be in better condition in a year and you will have spent less.
- Expensive facials.A ₹1,899 hydra facial monthly is close to ₹23,000 a year. Three or four a year at the change of season, with a ₹299 cleanup monthly in between, gets you most of the same result for about a third of the money. We would rather have you as a monthly cleanup client for five years than a monthly hydra client for four months.
- Global hair colour.Twice a year, with root touch ups between. Repeated full-head colour is cumulative damage that shows up as breakage two years later rather than immediately, which is exactly why people keep doing it.
If you are already booking something and are not sure whether the interval you have been given is right, tell us what and how often on WhatsApp. We will tell you honestly if it is more than you need, including when the answer costs us the booking.
Common questions
How often should I get waxing done?
Every four weeks for arms, legs and underarms. Three weeks is usually too early, because there is not enough length for wax to grip properly, which makes for a painful session that does not remove much. Full body suits four to six weeks. Waxing consistently at the same interval genuinely does make regrowth finer over a year, which shaving in between undoes.
How often should I get a facial in Jaipur?
Once a month at most, and once every six weeks suits most skin. Skin turns over on roughly a four week cycle, so anything more frequent is not giving it time to respond to the last one. Anyone recommending a facial every fortnight is selling rather than advising. A ₹299 cleanup monthly plus a ₹499 facial every six weeks is the pattern that works for most people here.
What is the difference between a cleanup and a facial?
A cleanup at ₹299 is cleansing, mild exfoliation and extraction, about 35 minutes. It is maintenance. A facial adds massage, a pack and active ingredients, runs 50 minutes or more and is doing something to the skin rather than just cleaning it. If your complaint is congestion around the nose and chin, the cleanup is the correct treatment and the facial is the expensive one.
How often should I get a pedicure in Jaipur?
Monthly for most people, and every three weeks through summer if you are in open sandals daily, which is more about dust and tanning than about the nails. A basic pedicure is ₹449. Between appointments, a foot cream at night does more for how your heels look than an extra sitting would.
Is a hair spa every three weeks really necessary in Jaipur?
It is one of the few treatments where the frequent interval genuinely earns its place, because Jaipur water is hard and works against hair every single day rather than occasionally. That said, at ₹649 every three weeks it is the most expensive habit on this list at roughly ₹11,000 a year, and most people do not realise that. If your budget has to give somewhere, this is the interval to stretch first.
How often should I bleach my face?
Less often than you are probably being told. Every six to eight weeks at most. Frequent bleaching thins facial skin and increases sensitivity, and the effect accumulates rather than resetting. A de tan pack between sittings covers most of what you want it for. A patch test happens before every bleach regardless of how many you have had before.
Will a crack heel treatment need repeating every month?
No, and be wary of anyone who says it does. It is a course rather than a routine: two or three sittings at ₹499 each, about ten days apart. After that a normal monthly pedicure holds it, along with a foot cream at night. If you are still being sold crack heel treatments in month four, something is wrong.
