The reason most working women in Jaipur stop getting anything done is not money and it is not interest. It is that the parlour is open exactly when they are at work, and by the time they are free the thought of travelling to Vaishali Nagar and waiting for a chair has already killed it.
A home booking removes the travel and the waiting, which is most of the problem. It does not remove the other half, which is that everybody who works wants the same two windows, and there are only so many of them in a week. This is a practical guide to getting one.
The slot everybody wants
Our bookings are not spread evenly across the week, not remotely. Weekday mornings between ten and one are quiet almost everywhere in the city. Weekday evenings from six, and the whole of Sunday, are the two windows that fill first and stay full.
That is not a scheduling problem we could fix by hiring. It is simply that a beautician can be in one house at a time, an evening holds two appointments rather than five, and the demand for those two is the same demand that would fill a whole morning. Which is why the single most useful thing in this article is this: a weekday evening slot in Jaipur needs two or three days' notice, and a Sunday slot needs about a week.
- Book Sunday on the previous Sunday. Not on Friday. By Friday the Sunday slots that are left are eight in the morning and two in the afternoon, which are the two nobody wants and the two that are always available.
- Saturday morning is the underrated window. Everyone fixates on Sunday and forgets Saturday exists. A ten o'clock Saturday slot is far easier to get than a six o'clock Sunday one, and you still have the whole weekend afterwards.
- Work from home days are the cheat code. If you have one, put every long treatment on it. A hair spa or a body polish that would be impossible on a weekday evening fits comfortably into a work-from-home afternoon, and those slots are almost always free.
- The first slot of the day never runs late. A nine o'clock appointment cannot be delayed by the appointment before it, because there is not one. If you have somewhere to be afterwards, take the first slot of the day rather than the one that suits you best on paper.
What actually fits in a weekday evening
The honest constraint is that a weekday evening realistically gives you about ninety minutes before it stops being relaxing and starts being one more thing to get through. Here is what that buys.
| Treatment | Time | Rate | Weekday evening? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eyebrow and upper lip threading | 15 min | ₹59 | Yes, easily |
| Cleanup (basic) | 35 min | ₹299 | Yes |
| Ladies haircut | 30 min | ₹299 | Yes |
| Fruit facial | 50 min | ₹499 | Yes |
| Full arms and full legs waxing | 55 min | ₹498 | Yes |
| Hair spa, shoulder length | 60 min | ₹649 | Yes, just about |
| Manicure and pedicure combo | 75 min | ₹699 | Tight but workable |
| Full body waxing, honey | 75 min | ₹899 | Better on a weekend |
| Party makeup with hairstyle | 2 hrs | ₹1,999 | Only if the function is that night |
| Keratin treatment | 3 hrs | ₹3,499 | Weekend or a day off |
The two that catch people out are the mani-pedi combo and full body waxing. Both read as ordinary bookings and both run past an hour, and starting either at eight in the evening after a full day is how you end up watching the clock through something you paid to enjoy.
Where you work changes the answer
The relevant number is not what time you leave the office, it is what time you are actually through your own front door, and in this city those are two very different things depending on where you work.
- Sitapura and the industrial belt. The Tonk Road stretch back into the city in the evening is the slowest regular commute in Jaipur. If you work out here, a seven o'clock booking is optimistic and a seven thirty one is realistic. Tell us the honest time rather than the hopeful one, because a beautician sitting outside your gate for twenty minutes costs the next client her slot too.
- C Scheme, Ashok Marg and the government offices. Short commutes, and this is where the six o'clock slot genuinely works. It is also the area where evening parking is worst, which is a large part of why clients here stopped driving to a parlour at all.
- Malviya Nagar and Jagatpura. The IT offices here empty around six thirty and the roads clear reasonably fast. A seven o'clock booking is comfortable. Jagatpura evening slots are among the first to fill, so book early in the week.
- Working from home, anywhere. Book between eleven and three. You will get whichever beautician and whatever slot you want, and you are not paying for the privilege because our rates do not change by time of day.
One more thing that costs ten minutes and almost nobody does. If you live in a gated society, leave her name at the gate when you book rather than answering the guard's intercom call while she stands outside. Ten minutes of a ninety minute appointment is not nothing.
Stacking, so one visit does the work of three
The most useful habit we see in clients who work full time is that they stop booking single treatments. One visit a month with four things in it beats four visits with one thing in each, and not only because of the time.
There is a practical reason too. Bookings of ₹799 and above carry no visiting charge; below that a ₹99 travel charge applies. So a standalone ₹29 eyebrow threading actually costs ₹128, which is absurd, and everyone who books it once works that out and never books it alone again. Stacked into a larger visit it costs ₹29.
- The monthly standard. Fruit facial, full arms and full legs honey waxing, underarms, and eyebrow and upper lip threading. That is the Monthly Care package at ₹999 against ₹1,348 booked separately, and it runs about an hour and forty five minutes. It is the single most repeated booking we have, and the reason is that it is one calendar entry instead of four.
- The before-a-function visit. Gold facial, full body honey waxing, mani-pedi combo, face and neck bleach, threading. The Glow Package at ₹2,299, about three and a half hours, sequenced so the exfoliating steps are not stacked on each other. Book it two days before the function, not the morning of.
- The quick reset. Cleanup ₹299, threading ₹59, nail cut file and polish ₹149. Just over five hundred rupees, about an hour, and it is the one that fits a Tuesday evening when you have something on Thursday.
Four visits of one treatment each is four evenings. One visit of four treatments is one. The treatments are identical.
Send us your area and two or three times that would genuinely work in the next week, and we will come back with the slots that are actually free rather than a callback promise. Usually within ten minutes, seven days a week.
What we will tell you honestly about availability
Some areas we work daily and can usually manage same day: Sodala, Chitrakoot and New Sanganer Road among them. Others, Amrapali Marg in particular, need two or three days' notice most of the time. Evening slots anywhere need the same.
When a slot is not realistic we say so rather than confirming it and calling you on the day to move it. A confirmed booking that gets shifted twice costs you more than an honest no, because you have already turned down the other thing you could have done that evening. This is the part of the business a small team is genuinely worse at than an app is, and pretending otherwise helps nobody.
Common questions
How far ahead should I book an evening slot in Jaipur?
Two or three days for a weekday evening, and about a week for a Sunday. Weekday evenings from six and the whole of Sunday are the two windows everybody who works wants, and a beautician can only be in one house at a time. Saturday mornings are much easier to get than Sunday evenings and most people forget to ask for them.
What treatments fit into a weekday evening after work?
Anything under an hour is comfortable: threading, a ₹299 cleanup, a ₹299 haircut, a ₹499 fruit facial, or arms and legs waxing. A ₹649 hair spa just about fits. The manicure and pedicure combo at 75 minutes and full body waxing at 75 minutes are both better on a weekend, because starting either at eight at night means watching the clock through something you paid to enjoy.
Can I get a same day home salon appointment in Jaipur?
Often, particularly if you call before early afternoon and you are in an area we work daily, such as Sodala, Chitrakoot or New Sanganer Road. Amrapali Marg and evening slots anywhere usually need two or three days. We will tell you honestly rather than confirm a slot we cannot keep.
Is it cheaper to book several treatments in one visit?
Yes, in two ways. Bookings of ₹799 and above carry no visiting charge, while below that a ₹99 travel charge applies, so a standalone ₹29 eyebrow threading really costs ₹128. And the packages are priced below the sum of their parts: Monthly Care is ₹999 against ₹1,348 booked separately. One visit with four treatments in it is also one evening rather than four.
Can I book a facial and full body waxing on the same evening?
We would advise against it. Both exfoliate, and doing both on the same skin in one sitting is how irritation starts. Leave two or three days between them. If they have to be close together before a function, the Glow Package at ₹2,299 sequences them properly.
I work in Sitapura and get home late. Can you still come?
Yes, but give us the honest arrival time rather than the hopeful one. The Tonk Road stretch back into the city in the evening is the slowest regular commute in Jaipur, so if seven thirty is realistic, book seven thirty. A beautician waiting outside your gate for twenty minutes costs the next client her slot as well as yours.
Do your rates change for evening or weekend slots?
No. The rate is the same whichever day and whichever time you book, and it is the same in every area of the city. What changes at peak times is availability, not price.
