We do cosmetic services: facials, waxing, threading, manicure, pedicure, hair care, bleach, de-tan, body polishing and makeup. That is the menu, and nothing outside it is offered.
Skin and hair problems do not always stay inside that line. Knowing where it sits protects you from wasting money, and occasionally from making a medical problem worse.
Where the line sits
| Concern | What a salon service can do | What needs a doctor |
|---|---|---|
| Acne | Cleanups and gentle facials for oily skin, extraction of blackheads | Painful, deep or widespread acne, or acne that leaves marks |
| Acne scars and marks | Brightening and hydration that improve how skin looks | Pitted scars, which need clinical treatment |
| Hair fall | Scalp care, a hair spa, better handling of damaged hair | Sudden or patchy loss, thinning at the parting, hair fall with fatigue or weight change |
| Dandruff | Clearing flakes, calming the scalp | Red, scaly or oozing patches that keep coming back |
| Pigmentation | Even out surface tan with de-tan and brightening | Dark patches from hormones, pregnancy or medicines |
| Foot problems | Softening cracked heels, pedicure | Painful cracks, fungal nails, diabetic foot issues |
| Waxing reactions | Soothing mild redness | Blisters, swelling, pus or a spreading rash |
Three things we do not promise
- Permanent results. Skin and hair keep changing. A facial helps for a few weeks, and a cleanup for less. Anyone selling permanence from a salon visit is overselling.
- Curing a condition. We can make skin look and feel better. We cannot diagnose or treat a medical condition.
- Speed. A cracked heel that took a year to form will not clear in one sitting.
Signs to see a dermatologist first
- A patch that is itchy, spreading, or has changed colour or shape.
- Skin that burns, blisters or swells after products that have been fine before.
- Sudden hair loss, or bald patches.
- Painful or discharging acne that keeps returning.
- Diabetes, or any condition affecting healing or circulation. Please tell us, and check with your doctor about pedicure and waxing.
Our guides on hair fall, acne scars and pedicure for sensitive or diabetic feet go into each of these in more detail.
Common questions
Can a home salon treat acne scars?
It can improve how the skin looks with hydration and brightening. Pitted scars need clinical treatment from a dermatologist.
Can a hair spa stop hair fall?
It cares for the scalp and damaged hair, but it does not treat the cause of hair loss. Sudden or patchy loss should be seen by a doctor.
Do you offer treatments that are not on the menu?
No. We stay within the listed cosmetic services.
Should I tell you about medicines and allergies?
Yes, at booking. It changes which products and treatments are safe for you.
