The first thing most people want to know about a facial is the price, and the second is whether the pricier one is worth it. The honest answer to the second question is: sometimes, and usually less often than the menu wants you to believe.

Below is the full price ladder for a facial at home in Jaipur, what each step up genuinely adds, and a plain view on where the extra money buys you something and where it only buys a different name.

What every facial includes, whatever the price

This is worth knowing because it means the cheaper facial is not a stripped-down one. Every facial we do runs the same core sequence: cleansing, a gentle scrub, steam, blackhead and whitehead extraction, a massage of 15 to 20 minutes, and a finishing pack. What changes as the price rises is the product used at the mask and treatment stage and the extra time spent on it, not the presence of the basics.

Where the extra money buys something, and where it does not

  • Cleanup to fruit facial (₹299 to ₹499): worth it more often than not. A cleanup is a shorter, lighter version. A fruit facial adds the massage time and a proper mask, and gives you something you can feel. If you have never had a facial, start here.
  • Fruit to gold (₹499 to ₹699): a small step for a small difference. The extra ₹200 gets a richer mask and a more polished finish. It is a good pre-function choice, but it does not repair anything the fruit facial could not. Do not expect a visible change in skin tone from the name alone.
  • Gold to diamond (₹699 to ₹899): worth it if you want stronger exfoliation. Diamond facials use a more abrasive component, so the skin feels smoother and looks brighter straight after. Skip it if your skin is sensitive or reactive; gentler is better there.
  • Diamond to O3+ (₹899 to ₹1,299): a real jump, aimed at tone and tiredness. This is the one for a wedding week or a big photograph. Our guide to the O3+ facial explains what it does and what it cannot.
  • Hydra facial (₹1,899): worth it for dehydrated skin, not for everything. It is built around hydration and the finish photographs well. If your skin is oily and congested, a cheaper facial will do more for you.

If you are unsure which one suits your skin, our guide on which facial to choose walks through it, and our beautician will also tell you at the door, before opening any product, if a cheaper one would serve you better. We would rather you spend less and be pleased.

What a facial cannot do

No facial removes deep pigmentation, dark circles or acne scars in one visit, whatever it is called. A facial can improve how skin looks and feels for a few weeks; it cannot change what is under the skin. For acne marks and dark circles, our guides on those explain the realistic gains. Anyone who promises a permanent change from a single facial is selling you a name.

Making a facial last, and when to repeat it

The glow from a facial lasts a few days to a couple of weeks depending on your skin and season; how long it lasts is covered in detail in our guide on facial glow duration. Most people do best with a facial every four weeks, and slightly closer through Jaipur's summer. Our seasonal frequency guide has the exact rhythm.

Not sure which price tier fits? Book the fruit facial and tell the beautician what you want your skin to do. If a different one suits you better, they will say so before opening a single product.

Common questions

What is the cost of a facial at home in Jaipur?

From ₹299 for a cleanup, ₹499 for a fruit facial, ₹699 for gold, ₹899 for diamond, ₹1,299 for O3+ brightening, ₹1,499 for anti-ageing and ₹1,899 for a Hydra facial. Prices are for a visit at your home.

Is a more expensive facial always better?

No. Every facial includes the same core steps. The extra money buys a richer or more specialised treatment product, which helps some skin types and not others. Sensitive and oily skin often do better with a cheaper, gentler facial.

Which facial is best for a first-timer?

A fruit facial at ₹499. It is gentle, suits most skin types and gives you a real sense of what a facial does before you spend more.

How long does a home facial take?

Between 35 minutes for a cleanup and 75 minutes for a Hydra facial, with the massage never cut short.

Is there a patch test before a facial?

Yes, free for first-time clients and anyone with sensitive skin, and we ask about past product reactions before opening anything.

How far ahead of a wedding or function should I get a facial?

Two to three days before, so any redness has settled and the glow is at its peak. Never on the morning of the event.

How often should I get a facial?

Roughly every four weeks, and closer to three weeks through summer. Winter can stretch to five or six weeks without harm.
