March to June: heat and tanning season
By April, temperatures in Jaipur are past 40°C, and June often pushes past 45°C. Tanning is the number one complaint through this stretch. Especially on the neck, the forearms and the backs of the hands. It shows up clearest on anyone riding a scooter, because a dupatta covers the face but the hands stay exposed.
This is when we recommend de tan facials and de tan packs the most. Heavy cream based facials do not sit well in this heat. Skin turns oily and breakouts follow. A fruit based or gel based facial works better. Even honey wax feels slightly sticky in summer, which is why a lot of clients switch to Rica during these months.
One practical note: avoid direct sun for at least 4 to 5 hours after a facial. That is why we suggest early morning or evening slots through summer.
